Rosemary McGinnis is a retired nursing specialist and comes to us with 40+ years of experience in the Atlantic Provinces and Western Canada and has worked in several healthcare environments from acute, outpatient clinics, long term care and community health. She holds a Master of Health Sciences Degree from McMaster University with a clinical focus on geriatric assessment, rehabilitation and prevalence of incontinence related to pregnancy.
Her expertise in bowel and bladder management has dominated her career beginning with urodynamics in the early years and research in Urology and Gynaecology. She has directed care from a management perspective (mentoring and coaching all levels of staff) and clinical management to engage in practice change, product evaluation and standardization. She continues to advocate for quality evidenced-based practice in the pursuit of excellence in clinical management of urinary and bowel problems for Canadians with this lived experience.
